Precision cable cam
systems for the shot
no other rig can get.

Inspired by the fast-and-light ethos of modern alpinism, Sea To Sky Cable Cam reimagines cable cam systems to be portable, powerful and adaptable. Designed for rapid deployment and rigged by elite climbers from Canada's renowned Sea to Sky region, our systems go where crews can't reach. Engineered with Vancouver's leading talent in winch systems, electronics and software for live broadcast, cinema and VR.

No complex rigs that take days to set up — just modern, streamlined systems that travel as excess luggage or hike or fly into the mountains, making high-end camera movement accessible to more productions.

One team. Every problem.

We don't hand you a catalog and ask which one fits. Horizontal, vertical, three dimensional — our systems reconfigure to the terrain, the payload and the shot. And if what a production needs doesn't exist yet, we design and build it.

RF control system

Built from decades of experience in demanding RF environments, we understand that reliability comes from simplicity. We integrate and refine third-party RF technologies into streamlined systems that remove unnecessary complexity, minimize failure points, and deliver dependable performance for broadcast and cinema productions. For the most demanding applications we move to fiber optic cable.

Built for the shot no other system could get.

BORNEO JUNGLE

Apple Immersive - Orangutans

Filming orang-utans with the Apple Vision Pro VR camera required seven unique setups, six of which made the final film. A standout shot was a continuous 1 minute 14 second vertical ascent, following a mother and baby climbing a 150-foot vine.

WHISTLER OLD GROWTH FOREST

Netflix - Keep Breathing

Crew needed cable cam positions rigged in real time, chosen by the director on the spot. By end of the first day we'd deployed four completely different rigs in four separate locations — none of them pre-selected. The final episode's climax moment was one continuous 38 second cable cam shot.

MEDITERRANEAN SEA

Apple Immersive - Adventure

Climbing over the ocean with no rope, Kia Lightner makes a risky free-solo ascent on Cova del Diablo along the craggy seaside cliffs of Mallorca, Spain. Director: Dionne Bromfield, DP JR Racine.

WEST VIRGINIA

Under Water

The camera begins underwater as a girl releases a trout, then rises through the surface and climbs at a 45-degree angle to reveal her sister and father fishing in the background before transitioning with a wipe across the cliff face. West Virginia Tourism. DP: Renan Ozturk.

Built by people who've done the hard part first.
